SIGHt Concludes High-Level Workshop on Responsible AI & Digital Ethics in Health
The SIMAD Institute for Global Health (SIGHt) successfully concluded a two-day advanced workshop on Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Ethics in Healthcare, held on 17–18 February at SIMAD University – Town Campus.
The workshop focused on the structured integration of ethical principles within digital health systems, emphasizing the importance of governance, accountability, and human-centered innovation in emerging health technologies.
Key Thematic Areas
The training addressed critical pillars necessary for responsible AI deployment in healthcare systems:
- Patient safety and data protection within digital platforms
- Accountability and transparency in algorithmic systems
- Equity and bias mitigation in AI-driven decision-making
- Sustainable digital health governance frameworks
Participants engaged in analytical discussions on real-world case studies, examining both the opportunities and risks associated with AI integration in health systems, particularly in low- and middle-income contexts.
