Pleased to share that the Director of SIGHt presented our work on antimicrobial resistance in fragile Somali health systems at the ESCMID Global Congress 2026 in Munich, representing SIMAD University and the SIMAD Institute for Global Health.
Developed through a hands-on research methods course with our medical students (Muna Sheikh Mohamed, Musab Mohamud Ahmed, Omar Abdullahi Abdi, Muna Ibrahim Hassan, Mohamed Ali Ibrahim and Najma Hashim Sayid Macani), this project shows how student-led research can inform practice in humanitarian settings.
