Capacity Building Initiative by the SIMAD Institute for Global Health (SIGHt)
The SIMAD Institute for Global Health at SIMAD University successfully concluded a six-day training on Data Analysis and Visualization Using R and Excel, facilitated by Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.
The training focused on strengthening participants’ practical competencies in data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization using R and Microsoft Excel. Through hands-on sessions and applied learning activities, participants enhanced their analytical skills for academic research and professional practice.
In line with SIGHt’s commitment to supporting research and academic development in Somalia, the training welcomed participants from higher education institutions beyond SIMAD University. The initiative provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional engagement among participants from diverse academic backgrounds.
Through such initiatives, SIGHt continues to advance research capacity building, professional development, and evidence-based practice across Somalia’s academic and public health sectors.
