The SIMAD Institute for Global Health (SIGHt) joined forces with the Ministry of Health, WHO, and UN Human Rights to celebrate World Health Day in Somalia. Under the theme “Health as a Human Right,” the event convened healthcare professionals, policymakers, academics, and community leaders to discuss advancing health equity in Somalia. Special guests included Dr. Marina from WHO and Kirsten Young, Chief of UNSOM’s Human Rights and Protection Group, emphasizing the shared responsibility to ensure healthcare for all.
