Dr. Najib Isse Dirie, Senior Research Associate at SIMAD Institute for Global Health (SIGHt), represented SIGHt at the Joint Annual Review Meeting in Health Sector Somalia, organized by the Ministry of Health – Somalia. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, health leaders, and international organizations, to assess the country’s healthcare progress, identify existing challenges, and explore strategic solutions.

Dr. Najib joined the discussions alongside Dr. Ali Haji Adam, Minister of Health (JFS), BRA Directorate of Health and Human Services, and other key partners, emphasizing the critical role of academia and research institutions in shaping evidence-based health policies. His participation, alongside representatives from SIMAD University and Dr. Sumait Hospitals, highlighted SIGHt’s commitment to advancing healthcare through research, collaboration, and policy engagement.
